Find sensitive data before someone else does.
Redacto scans your databases, warehouses, file shares and ticketing tools, classifies what it finds, and names the system and owner for every finding.

Data Discovery & Classification
Redacto classifies as it scans and keeps the inventory current, so it stops being a spreadsheet someone rebuilds once a year.
Classified to column level, in place.
Documents and scans, read through OCR.
Your team confirms each owner.
Vendor, country and basis.
What Data Discovery & Classification covers.
Databases, warehouses, documents, endpoints, tickets and shared drives, including scanned images through OCR.
PAN, Aadhaar and other Indian identifiers classified as their own categories, not as generic numbers.
Every finding carries its system, its processing activity and an accountable team.
Which vendor, which country and which basis, for every transfer found.

From first scan to a named owner.
Redacto runs each step and stops for a person where judgement is needed.

What teams ask first.
What does discovery find?
Personal and sensitive data across your estate: PAN, Aadhaar, bank account and card numbers, contact details, and health and financial records, plus any custom data types you define. Each finding is classified and tied to the system it sits in.
How accurate is it?
Identifiers are checked against their format and checksum, not just matched to a pattern, and surrounding context separates real records from look-alikes. Every finding shows its evidence, so a reviewer can confirm or dismiss it.
Does it read scanned documents and images?
Yes. Scanned PDFs and images, such as KYC copies, are read with OCR and classified like any other file.
Which systems does it cover?
Databases, file shares, SaaS, cloud stores and endpoints. Data stores connect through read-only connectors. Endpoints use a lightweight agent you roll out through your device management.
Does our data leave our network?
Your records never do. Scanning and classification run inside your environment, and only findings and metadata reach the platform. On private cloud or on-prem, nothing leaves at all.
How is posture different from discovery?
Discovery tells you what sensitive data you hold and where it sits. Posture uses the same findings to show where it is exposed and who can reach it, then ranks the risk and routes the fix.
Will Redacto change permissions on its own?
No. Redacto proposes each fix and the owner approves it. Access, masking and deletion change only after a named person signs off, and every decision is kept on record.
Will scanning slow down production systems?
No. Scans use read-only access, can be throttled or scheduled outside business hours, and after the first full scan only look at what changed.
Does this replace our DLP?
No. DLP watches data as it moves. Posture looks at where sensitive data sits and who can reach it. They work side by side, and better posture means fewer DLP alerts to chase.
What happens to findings after discovery?
They feed the rest of the platform. Redacto names an owner for every finding, ROPA builds its records from them, DSAR uses them to find a person’s data, and Retention & Deletion uses them to clear stale copies.

Thirty minutes. Bring one system and we'll show you what it holds, classified and owned.
